Ellis County Patrol Division
Our Patrol Division is comprised of full-time patrol deputies who maintain 24-hour service for a jurisdiction just over 900 square miles. Deputies often assist the municipal police departments of Ellis, Hays, and Victoria as well as the Kansas Highway Patrol. They are directly responsible for the safety and security of our unincorporated communities of Antonino, Catharine, Emmeram, Munjor, Pfeifer, Toulon, Turkville, Walker, Yocemento, and all rural areas of our county. Deputies assist with Jail, Courthouse, K-9 deployments, and Investigational operations. These dedicated men and women are truly the mortar which binds all of Sheriff’s Office Divisions together.
Patrol Deputies are responsible for the preservation of peace and protection of our citizens. A few of their day to day responsibilities include civil process, warrant service, traffic enforcement, criminal and accident investigation, criminal and civil transports, animal calls, business checks, and assist Ellis County Emergency Medical Services and Ellis County Rural Fire.
